PHOENIX, Arizona – Ameris Construction broke ground last week on Encanto Row, a 6-unit single-family home development located at 19th Ave and Thomas in Phoenix, Arizona.
The project is owned by development group Lyfe Group LLC. Nick Singh, one of the four partners of Lyfe Group, shared details and background on the residential development.
“We are going with more of a contemporary-modern feel, with an industrial flair,” Singh said. “In the next 5 years, [the] Encanto area will be a lot different. A lot of the homes will reflect Arcadia – owners might keep the outside, but the insides will be gutted and completely new.”
Each of the 6 homes is approximately 1600 sq. ft., and vary between two- and three-story floor plans.
According to AZ Big Media, from 2020 to 2021, Maricopa County (where Phoenix is located) gained more residents than any other county in the country, amounting to another 159,000 Phoenicians. As a state, Arizona ranked third in population growth from 2020 to 2021, behind only Texas and Florida.
Singh grew up on Osborn and 48th in Phoenix, and has had his eye on residential development in the area for some time. Singh and his partners have previously been involved in the restaurant industry and the corporate world across Nevada and California, but are seeking new investment opportunities in the Valley of the Sun.
“We kind of fell into Encanto. It was a vacant lot that we purchased with the plans and permits,” Singh said. “I finally got in contact with Greg and Chris. They were excited. They knew we were new to the game.
“They picked up our vision and understood the kind of people we are. We want to get it done, and we want to get it done the right way,” Singh said.
Ameris is excited to be working with Lyfe Group and TBA Architecture, as well as the rest of the project team to bring Encanto Row to life, with a projected completion in 2023.
