Construction/Field Operations Process:
Our construction services are streamlined from the start in our initial construction kick-off meeting, where leadership team members from every department are represented. Led by our Director of Construction, this meeting will assign roles and responsibilities to each field team member on site, including the Superintendent. An initial risk assessment will be conducted, as well as a project specific safety plan, and our project responsibility matrix is used to ensure all goals are met.
Field execution involves the following ongoing activities:
- Weekly foremen meetings held by Superintendent
- On-site manpower and labor management, including relationships with subcontractors
- Ongoing evaluation of scheduling
- Generation of 3 week look-ahead schedule
- Safety and inspection management including adherence to the Ameris Safety Handbook
- Coordinating resources onsite with project management team
➡ What makes us different?
Our construction team’s goal is to not only make the project successful, but ensure the client’s goals are met. At times, this may mean providing expert advice on the best way to complete a project to meet the overall goals, instead of simply building to the drawings. As needed, our team may self-perform smaller items to ensure a project stays on schedule and budget. Depending on the project and client needs, our construction team creates a personalized relationship and line of communication with each client.
➡ End of Project & Close Out
At the end of each phase of a project and subcontractor contract, the Superintendent creates a Punch List of items that need to be corrected to ensure adherence to overall project schedule and the best level of quality in each trade completed. The construction team works closely with the Project Management team to ensure all inspections are completed and documented.
➡ Safety & Environmental Conservation
Site safety is of the utmost importance to our team, which is why all Superintendents are OSHA 30 hour certified and CPR/AED Certified. Our Superintendents walk the site each morning and complete daily logs through Procore including tracking of what trade work was completed, the workforce on site, and a minimum of 10 photos per day.
Environmental conservation and adherence to the local regulations is our priority. Our Superintendents all carry their air quality control certifications within Maricopa County. Our team manages daily records of subcontractor environmental certifications under the Dust Control Record Keeping Form (rule 310 sec 502), Subcontractor Registration List, Self-Inspection and Control Measures Application (MCAQD permit number).
